About Your Translator
I am the founder and lead translator of Vertex Language Solutions LLC. Born in the U.S. and raised in Brazil, I have spoken Brazilian Portuguese fluently almost my entire life and continue to use it daily — both professionally and at home with my Brazilian wife.My translation work began in 2005, supporting international law enforcement training and translating official documentation — including visa applications requiring precise legal language and strict attention to detail. By the time I formally entered the translation industry in 2007, I already had meaningful professional experience across legal, government, and cross-cultural contexts.Over the following eleven years I translated training manuals, legal documents, contracts, and compliance materials for an international law enforcement training organization operating across Brazil, Europe, and the United States — work that grew to include ITAR compliance documentation review and high-level government correspondence, including documents for a member of the Brazilian Federal Senate.I also served as a sworn federal law enforcement officer at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, where I maintained a Secret security clearance and served on NASA's Special Response Team. That background shapes how I approach every project — with discipline, precision, and an understanding that the documents I translate carry real consequences.I am an ATA member, a Trados Studio user, and the founder of Vertex Language Solutions LLC, registered in the State of Alabama.
